It has finally dawned on me that the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State has become a money-making machine by the Management. Though it was rumored as this some weeks back, reality has seized my breath in believing the height of injustice our so-called Management has finally perpetrated. Firstly, it was the case of sudden hike in price of acceptance fee(from an acceptable 10k to a whooping sum of 30k). I tought maybe that could be accounted for by them due to IGR; but the latest which is the sudden hike in school fees really shows the extent to which the management has gone in being totally irresponsible and shameless. How do you expect a student studying in a Federal University to pay a mouth-goring fee of 50k (accomodation and field trip not even included)? This is a complete show of shame which should never be met with a open hands by students (both fresh and returning). I hereby make a clarion call to all students (irrespective of level) to hold on to not paying a dime until the Students Union Government gives a green light and as we all know, the green light acceptable by all students is the complete reversal of the fees (acceptance fee is included). I implore the fresh students not to be intimidated by any information the school management might come out with as regards your admission confirmatioon till the whole issue is settled. Remember that this fight is a fight for all, so support the SUG to do the right thing. We promise to keep you updated Climax Domain
